In this one I’m taking a shot at the challenge put up on the first day of NaPoWriMo. so this is catchup. This is where I have to take a famous poem as the first line and then totally destroy it beyond recognition. I’m sure you recognize the fist line of this.
All the world’s a stage, and we are all players,
Who think our fortunes change, through simple prayers.
Do you really think you are the only one,
Who thinks God’s endless powers he can summon?
When you have been given abundant talents,
Why do you blame God in your countless laments?
Do you think God sits all day at a counter,
To grant you fortunes, which then you could squander?
Believe in yourself and you will go forward,
Instead of blaming bad luck, like a coward.
What you do today will decide your future,
So stop acting like a piece of furniture.
