The Habitual Liar

22 days after the challenge was put up on NaPoWriMo, I managed to write a poem about a lie. This was the challenge for Day two. I started my NaPoWriMo challenge on Day three. It is not about one lie, but a bunch of lies.

At first I thought you were an arrogant one,
Who saw herself above everyone.
Later I got the chance to know,
Your self-esteem was pretty low.

I also found you were naive,
So easy for me to deceive.
Sweet and gullible like a kid.
Clueless about the things I hid.

I want you to know I meant no harm,
I was helping you set your alarm.
I don’t want people to make a fool,
Of someone who I think is damn cool.
