Tale of A Lonely Lady

Day 25 of NaPoWriMo. Five days to go. Today’s challenge? To write a ballad. After thinking about various stories mostly mine or of people I know, I decided it was better to write something fictional.

Once there was a special lady,
She disliked her peers.
Their intentions were so shady,
They loved seeing her tears.

The day she left her tribe, for good,
Thunderclouds packed the sky.
Wandering for water and food,
Opportunities came by.

She confronted him with anger,
When followed by a guy,
He was also plagued with hunger,
He did not mean to pry.

They lived together many years,
Blessed with two girls they were.
No longer did she shed her tears,
Having found love and care.
