Born in the bestest country ever

Day fourteen of NaPoWriMo. Today’s prompt is to write a San San. A seven line poem where there phrases are repeated thrice within the body. Also there is a rhyme scheme where the last sound of the line rhymes as follows: a-b-c-a-b-d-c-d (er…I mean eight lines). I thought I’ll write about the current political environment.

Lamenting about our lost national pride,
Our glorious leader promised better days.
Fiercely attacking certain communities,
Regaining lost national pride in his stride,
Says ads bearing our glorious leader’s face,
Better days he promised are finally here.
Lost national pride tops the necessities,
Better day’s for our glorious leader’s near.
