A gift from the skies

Day four of NaPoWriMo is about writing a poem about something without mentioning it. It feels like I have worked on a similar prompt in one of the previous editions.

It came from above, it didn’t look friendly,
It came from above, it didn’t look friendly,
It must’ve been scary to encounter.
Yet it helped us, continues to do so.
It’s all around us, helping us survive.

We take it for granted most of the time,
When it’s gone, our lives are never the same.
A key aspect to the tech revolution,
Deemed a necessity for most of the world.

Understanding it changed the scope of progress,
Tiniest of particles keep changing our world.
The earth and most of the thing it offers,
Are often put to use in it’s pursuit.
